Local high school students are invited to attend a series of free workshops beginning next week to help design light pole art banners that celebrate the neighborhood surrounding the downtown Inglewood Station. Students will have the opportunity to work with a professional artist from artworxLA and research the people, places and things that have made the area special as part of the process.
The banners will be on view during the construction phase for the future Crenshaw/LAX line.
The free workshops are open to local teens (ages 15-19).
