Here’s what’s happening at Union Station this September!
Friday, Sept. 11: SK Kakraba will be holding gyil performances in the waiting room from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A gyil, for those of you who don’t know, is a traditional xylophone from Ghana, and you can preview his latest album here.
Friday, Sept. 18: Kai Narezo y Magia Negra will be performing a contemporary flamenco tablao in the Historic Ticketing Hall from 8 to 10 p.m. Sample their music here.
Thursday, Sept. 24: A special screening of The Exiles, a day in the life of young Native American friends in the 1950s, will take place in the North Patio from 8 to 10 p.m. The film is part of a series on L.A. history put on by Echo Park Film Center, and you can view the trailer below.
