The Eat Shop Play campaign supports and promotes local businesses located in project areas impacted by construction of the Crenshaw/LAX Line, the Purple Line Extension and the Regional Connector. This month’s Eat Shop Play business spotlight features a few of Los Angeles’ cultural institutions and a great place to fuel up after exploring.
Along Wilshire Boulevard there’s LACMA, which is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in the Miracle Mile! Besides their usual exhibitions, the current featured exhibit is Christian Marclay: The Clock, a 24-hour single-channel montage constructed from thousands of moments of cinema and television history. Make sure to go check it out before it closes in September! Show your TAP card when you visit to receive a $2 discount on your general admission ticket. If you’re visiting Little Tokyo, make sure to swing by the Japanese America National Museum! The museum presents unique exhibitions and innovative public programs in the historic Little Tokyo district, and it’s easily reachable via the Metro Gold Line Little Tokyo/Arts District Station, or DASH A to 1st/Central.
