Bus shuttles will replace train service between Sierra Madre Villa Station and Lake Station beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12.
Trains will operate every 10 minutes between Atlantic Station and Lake Station during this time, except during the late-night and early morning, when they will run every 20 minutes. Bus shuttles will serve Lake, Allen and Sierra Madre Station every 10 minutes.
During the closure, crews will be working to configure the train control and signal systems so that trains will eventually be able to run through to the future Gold Line Foothill Extension.

This is such a great milestone! When will the Gold Line Foothill Extension to Azusa open?
Hi Kenny,
There’s no date set for the opening at this time. There’s still a lot of testing before CPUC declares the line open for operation, and we’ll continue to update as we get closer to opening.

I see. I can’t wait for it to open, as well as the Expo Line to Santa Monica too. By the way, Happy 25th Birthday Metro Rail! 🙂
