Update 5:40 p.m.: The earlier train-auto incident at San Pedro Street has been cleared. Blue Line trains are resuming normal service, though customers should expect residual delays through rush hour this evening.
The Blue Line is currently running with up to 20 minute delays due to a train-auto incident that occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. this afternoon near San Pedro Street Station. Until Metro receives clearance from authorities, trains will be sharing the downtown L.A.-bound track at Washington and San Pedro Street stations. In order to reduce train congestion in the downtown area, some northbound trains are returning southbound to Long Beach at Washington Station.
Metro would like to thank all Blue Line customers for their understanding as we work to restore service to both tracks as fast as possible. Please continue following here on The Source or via Twitter @metrolosangeles or @metrolaalerts for further updates.
