Local high school students are invited to attend a series of free workshops beginning next week to help design a monumental mural that celebrates the neighborhood surrounding the Crenshaw/Expo Station. Students will have the opportunity to work with a professional artist from artworxLA, and delve into the landmarks, streets and residents who have made the area special as part of the process.
The mural will be on view during the construction phase for the future Crenshaw/LAX line.
The free workshops are open to local teens (ages 15-19).
Stay tuned for more workshops focused on Leimert Park and Inglewood.
