Deal of the Week: Delicious discounts for Metro riders at The Greyhound Bar & Grill

The Greyhound Bar & Grill in Highland Park is one of the latest eateries to join Metro’s Destination Discounts program. This diverse group of businesses share a proximity to our buses and trains and commitment to rewarding those who use them. Now at The Greyhound, Metro customers receive 15% off their entire bill with valid TAP card!

As a resident of zip code 90042 and frequent Gold Line rider, I was very excited to learn about this. To begin, 15% off everything (promotional items excepted) is a pretty generous discount. Second, The Greyhound Bar & Grill is, simply put, pure comfort.

I say this for a number of reasons. They have the friendliest door-guys in the neighborhood (and I would wager, the city). The kitchen serves up tasty and creative food of the gastro-pub variety. (If you’re vegetarian, your dinner options are limited to the cauliflower wings or the Italian-style eggplant sandwich, both of which are, fortunately, stellar.) The atmosphere is mellow, and things never get so loud you can’t hear the person sitting next to you (except on Thursday quiz nights). The Greyhound was founded by three friends from the Midwest, L.A., and England, which probably has a lot to do with the universally-welcoming vibe.

To Go Metro to The Greyhound Bar & Grill, take the Gold Line to Highland Park Station or Metro Bus 81 to Figueroa/Avenue 56. Located at 5570 N. Figueroa Street, they are less than a five-minute walk from the station and steps from the bus stop. Cheers!
