Walsh/Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC) is inviting the public and businesses to participate in the third annual Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) outreach event Tuesday, May 19 at Inglewood City Hall, One Manchester Blvd. Inglewood, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

WSCC will provide an update on upcoming bid opportunities for disadvantaged businesses that want to pursue a contract for the electrical and station work that will soon begin on the new Metro light rail line now under construction. There also will be breakout sessions to discuss the electrical and station work.

The 8.5-mile Crenshaw/LAX light rail line will connect the Metro Expo and Green lines and run through the communities of Crenshaw, Inglewood and LAX. The line will have eight new stations: three of them underground, one aerial and four at street level. The line is expected to be complete in 2019.
