Metro Green Line Redondo Beach Station will be closed this weekend in order for crews to perform much-need refurbishment work. This means free bus shuttles will replace Green Line train service between Douglas and Redondo Beach this Saturday, Apr. 25 and Sunday, Apr. 26. All westbound trains will return east to Norwalk at Douglas Station.
Green Line trains will arrive every 15-17 minutes this weekend, in accordance with normal Saturday and Sunday service levels. However, customers should please be aware that trains will not follow the times listed in the regular, posted schedule.
As for when and where to TAP while bus shuttles are in effect: West-bound customers transferring from Douglas to bus shuttles will not need to TAP. Those transferring east-bound from bus shuttles to Douglas will need to TAP at the fare gates.
Finally, for those Green Line customers inconvenienced by refurbishment work this weekend: thank you for your understanding.
