Quick reminder: the first of four community hearings for the SR-710 North Study project is this Saturday with the second meeting on Tuesday. As many of you know, the project’s draft environmental document was released in early March.
Point of emphasis: There study looks at five alternatives to improve transportation in the area near and around the gap in the 710 freeway between Alhambra/El Sereno and Pasadena (the study area covers 100 square miles). The five alternatives are the legally required no-build option, a freeway tunnel, light rail, bus rapid transit and traffic signal/intersection improvements.
A 120-day public comment period for the draft study began March 6 and ends July 6, 2015. How to comment on the study:

Verbal Comments: Pick-up and complete a SPEAKER CARD located at the registration table and return it to staff on-site. You will then be called to provide your verbal comment to the panel in front of the audience. You can also provide your verbal comment privately to a court reporter at the event who will submit your comment for the record. NOTE: This is only to provide your comment. If you have questions about the five alternatives or the Study process, you can ask one of the subject matter experts located in the Map Viewing area. Written Comments: Pick-up and complete a COMMENT CARD located at the registration table. You can submit your completed comment card by placing it in the comment box located at the comment station |
