Blue Line resuming normal service

Update 7 p.m.: Metro Blue Line is resuming normal service to all stations with residual delays. Earlier police activity near San Pedro St cleared at this time.

The Metro Blue Line is currently suspended between San Pedro Street and Washington stations due to police activity south of San Pedro St. All southbound Blue Line trains are returning north to 7th Street/Metro Center at San Pedro St, while northbound trains return south to Long Beach at Washington.

Bus shuttles have been requested to provide service between San Pedro St and Washington stations. While bus shuttles are established, affected customers may want to consider the following alternate routes, if applicable:

Between Willow St, Wardlow and Del Amo Stations and Downtown LA

From Harbor Gateway Transit Center to Downtown LA

  • Metro Silver Line from Harbor Gateway Transit Ctr (900 free parking spaces)
  • If you park at Willow St, Wardlow or Del Amo Station, consider using Park & Ride stations along on the Silver Line

Long Beach-bound when service is disrupted between Downtown LA and Willowbrook Station

Use Metro Silver Line/Metro Express 450 + Green Line combo, connect with Blue Line at Willowbrook Station towards Long Beach

Between Vernon, Slauson, Florence, Firestone and 103rd St/Watts Towers Stations and Downtown LA

From Vernon, Slauson, Florence, Firestone or 103rd St/Watts Towers Stations to Downtown LA

From Downtown LA to Vernon, Slauson, Florence, Firestone or 103rd St/Watts Towers Station

Metro will continue to provide updates here at The Source and via our Twitter accounts @metrolosangeles and @metrolaalerts as the incident unfolds.
