UPDATE 6 p.m.:

Repairs to the overhead power supply system on the Metro Gold Line have been predicted to last through close of service today, Wednesday Mar. 25. This means trains will also continue to run every 20 minutes throughout the evening, sharing the East L.A.-bound track at Highland Park Station. All trains will be longer, three-car trains to accommodate crowded platforms, so please use the entire length of the platform when boarding. Regular scheduled service is planned to resume again tomorrow morning, start of service, barring any further complications. Metro would like to thank all affected Gold Line customers for their patience and understanding today.

Gold Line service was disrupted earlier today due to a damaged overhead wire near Highland Park Station. Trains are currently sharing one track between Southwest Museum Station and South Pasadena Station, with delays up to 25 minutes. Repairs are underway and are expected to take several hours to complete, which means evening rush hour service will be impacted.

Metro will be using longer, three-car trains to accommodate afternoon/evening commuters. Trains will run every 20 to 25 minutes along the entire Gold Line. Please use the entire platform when boarding to avoid crowding. For alternate service that may help you reach your destination this evening, please see below:
