No joke, we will be holding an April Fools’ Day Art Tour!

The tour will include visits to the pictured Richard Wyatt’s People Coming / People Going at Wilshire/Western Station and Sonia Romero’s MacArthur Park, Urban Oasis at Westlake/MacArthur Park Station, among others.

Richard Wyatt’s People Coming / People Going at Wilshire/Western Station, one of the station artworks featured on the April Fools’ Day tour.

Celebrate April Fools’ Day with a Metro Art Moves tour led by acclaimed Los Angeles native poet Mike Sonksen as he shares his perspective on the quirky history of L.A. and how it relates to artworks along the Metro Red and Purple Lines.

Incorporating his award-winning poetry, historical information and anecdotes, this one-time tour will bring to light the origins of April Fools’ Day as well as myths and legends about L.A.’s urban development.

The tour runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is limited to the first 40 attendees. First-come, first-served. Meet at the western entrance to the Grand Central Market (Hill Street between 3rd and 4th Streets).
