Union Station East has some new beverage offerings as of this morning: Press Brothers Juicery has a new cart located between the Red/Purple Line entrance and the tunnel leading to the train platforms. It’s also very convenient for anyone headed to or from the Patsaouras Transit Plaza and the parking garage.
Press Brothers Juicery launched its flagship store inside the historic Grand Central Market in DTLA last fall. Their specialty is 100 percent USDA organic cold pressed juices. The co-founders of Press Brothers are J.D. Jones — in the above photo — his brother David Jones. A description of the business from the Jones brothers:
Our mother, an avid juicer of 20 years truly inspired us. Growing up together on a Kansas farm, we learned a deep respect for the labor it takes to cultivate and harvest organic fruits and vegetables. While our sense of adventure eventually lead us to Southern California, we brought with us our love of fresh pressed juice, and quickly sought out the best organic fruits and vegetables at our local farmers market to carry on our mother’s tradition.
As juicing for ourselves became a daily ritual, we tossed around the idea of starting this business. Our passion for commercial juicing became very evident, and we quickly and quite naturally found ourselves preaching the benefits of raw pressed juice, just as our mother had to us, as we pressed and delivered batch after batch of juice for friends and family to a watershed of positive feedback.
Through word of mouth we have carefully built our business since 2011, meticulously honing our production techniques in our USDA CERTIFIED ORGANIC KITCHEN to ensure that we will always be able to deliver cold pressed juice of unrivaled quality, no matter the volume. To this point, we have focused our efforts on our web-based order and delivery service to great success. We currently serve a number of iconic Los Angeles based businesses among our daily deliveries.
