I know, I know. You’re probably thinking of some grand, romantic movie set in the depths of outer space (Jupiter Ascending?), but this space opera is a little bit different — though no less fun.
Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre’s Space Opera explores the intersection of dance and Thom Mayne’s architecture to take the audience on a journey through space and place. The audience will be taken on a mobile performance with dancers and live musicians! If you’re tempted to check it out, Go Metro to the show on Sunday, March 22, and save on tickets. Just show your TAP card at the box office for a $5 discount!
Space Opera will take place at Morphosis, located at 3440 Wesley Street in Culver City. To get there, take the Expo Line to Culver City Station — it’s about a 1o-minute walk to Morphosis — or ride Culver City Bus 1 or 7 to Washington/National.
