The first art panels along phase 2 of the Expo Line were installed at Westwood/Rancho Park Station, marking an exciting milestone. The artwork for the station was created by Abel Alejandre — read more about it at this previous post.
Installation of 12 art panels at Westwood/Rancho Park took place over the weekend and more will follow in the coming weeks as artwork arrives at the remaining stations. Stay tuned!
The Expo Line Phase 2 is a project funded by Measure R. It will extend the Expo Line from the Culver City Station for six miles to Downtown Santa Monica. It is expected to open in the first half of 2016.
