This Valentine’s Day, carnaval is for lovers… of Brazilian dance, music and culture!
Transport yourself to the tropics at the 15th-annual Brazilian Carnaval of Love, Feb. 14 from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Conga Room at L.A. LIVE. Enjoy a dynamic lineup of samba groups, DJ sets, and carnaval and dance performers. Wow your sweetheart with your smooth moves or break it down with friends. Revive and re-energize with Brazilian food and drinks. Who knows, you may meet that next special someone on the dance floor…if you hadn’t already met that person the day before while speed dating, that is!
We all know parking and traffic are bad on any Saturday night downtown. Throw in Valentine’s Day and let’s just say it’s enough to make baby cupid cry. Luckily, Metro Rail speeds through traffic like an arrow to the heart. (Hey, I didn’t make this Valentine’s stuff up…)
To arrive at the Brazilian Carnaval of Love via Metro Rail, take the Blue/Expo Line to Pico Station or the Red/Purple Line to 7th Street/Metro Center (the latter will require about a 10 minute walk from the station to L.A. LIVE). Metro Rail operates late-night service until 2 a.m. on Saturdays, so you can stay out late and get home safe. And don’t forget, save $5 on admission by showing your valid TAP card at the Conga Room box office or use Metro’s special promo code if purchasing tickets online.
