Free admission and more for Metro riders at Santa Monica Museum of Art!

You have to admit…our Destination Discounts program delivers the goods when it comes to saving on shopping, dining, sports and family-friendly events throughout Los Angeles County. And with Expo Line Phase 2 scheduled to open next year and connect the Westside to the rest of the county by rail, there are sure to be even more deals on the horizon.

Located in the Bergamot Station Arts Center (and adjacent to the future 26th Street/Bergamot Expo Line station), the Santa Monica Museum of Art is now offering free admission to all — and Metro riders get a little something extra!

After viewing the museum’s latest exhibits, discover one-of-a kind gifts and receive a 10 percent discount when you show your TAP card at the Gracie gift shop! Unique goods such as home décor, apparel, decorative arts and books can all be found there.

SMMoA is the only west coast venue showcasing both the Moshe Ninio Rainbow: Rug and Brian Weil’s, 1975-95: Being in the World exhibits. See them for free Tuesday through Saturday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

To get to the museum, take the Santa Monica Big Blue Bus 5 to Olympic/26 Street (the 5 runs between downtown Santa Monica and the Expo Line Culver City Station). Another option is the Metro 4 Local Bus or 704 Rapid Bus that run on Santa Monica Boulevard and stop at Santa Monica and 26th, three blocks north of Bergamot Station. Other options: use the Metro  Trip Planner or Google Maps to plan your best route. For upcoming events and programs visit the SMMoA website!
