Here to brighten up your Monday is a video by the Akron Metro RTA, a transit agency that operates deep in the wilds of Summit County, Ohio. Their talented staff created a parody music video of Meghan Trainor’s hit single “All About That Bass,” which you can watch below. Enjoy!

I like it! Often it is a money saver to take the bus, too. For example, a recent graduate can take public transportation until they have enough money to buy a car (and pay for insurance, inspection, maintenance, etc.) I spent many hours getting around on buses and also met some really interesting people along the way.
This is great. I liked the original song but I think the parodies are even better. And it is all about that bus – no driving is definitely better.
I see the bus workin’ that labor unions
We know that [insert s-word] ain’t real
C’mon now, make it stop
If you got fares, fares, just raise ’em up
‘Cause every distance is the same
From the shortest to the far
Way to go, O-hio! Akron, btw, is home to Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders and the Black Keys.

I expected this to be awful. It wasn’t. I’m impressed.
