Metro Motion roving bike-and-bus reporter Mike Ryan has a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend ride through Griffith Park planned for us.

It’s easy to get to the park on Metro bus line 96. Here’s a map and schedule.

Just tuck your wheels into the bike rack and disembark at the L.A. Zoo. Several great holiday events are beginning or continuing this weekend. Zoo Lights opens Friday and continues through the holidays. The Autry National Center has a Route 66 show going on now through December. And Griffith Observatory is heavenly, as always.
