Go Metro to start your holiday season at the Hollywood Christmas Parade next Sunday, Nov. 30. The parade begins at 5 p.m. in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre at Hollywood Boulevard and Orange Drive. It then proceeds east on Hollywood Blvd., south on Vine Street, and west on Sunset Boulevard back to Orange. Take the Metro Red Line to Hollywood/Highland or Hollywood/Vine Station to participate in this joyous L.A. tradition without worrying about parking or traffic (those not-so-joyous L.A. traditions).
Free curb-side seating is available along the majority of the parade route. Be sure to arrive an hour or so ahead of time to ensure a good viewing spot. Grandstand seating is also available, affording optimal viewing as well as access to the pre-parade concert, featuring Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Heart, Estelle, and many others! Tickets start at $35 for adults, but Metro customers can save $2 with the exclusive online promotional code “Rudolph.” Those wishing to purchase grandstand seating should visit ticketmaster.com as soon as possible.
Metro Rail will follow the regular Sunday/Holiday schedule the day of the parade, with North Hollywood-bound Red Line trains departing every 12 minutes from Union Station. Please note that Metro Bus lines 2, 156, 180/181, 207, 210, 212, 217 and 222 may be impacted by detours the day of the event. For more information, visit the Service Advisories page at metro.net closer to the event date.
