More than 100 fifth-grade students representing 10 schools across Los Angeles County will compete in 5 ballroom dances in the Fall 2014 Colors of the Rainbow team match competition. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and seating is first come, first served. (TAP card holders get preferential seating!) The performance will begin at 5 p.m.
Union Station is accessible via Metro Rail, Metro Bus and several municipal bus lines. Use the Trip Planner for routes and connections; maps and timetables are here. Bicycle and car parking are also available on site.

These events are great specially right after work, it gives me time to do something while I wait for traffic to die out.
Yeah, I’m puzzled why this is done at 5 pm? Why not at 7 pm? So it’s an actual event for everyone involved and the commuters are not that impacted.
I’m still going though!
Hi Franz,
Everyone’s schedule is different, so Metro Presents offers events at different times. We have hosted events in the early afternoon, late afternoon, and evening. It just happens that this one takes place at 5 p.m. as the dancers are 5th graders and it’s a school night. To check the upcoming schedule, you can visit metro.net/unionstation.

These events are a real headache for commuters. Why not schedule them later at night or on weekends for the Downtown crowd that attends ?
