It’s true we’ve got a pretty robust Destination Discount program here at Metro. But despite our large (and growing) list of restaurants, museums, shops, sports teams and more, we’re still pretty impressed to find two Metro partners right next door to each other! This month, Go Metro to the Pasadena Playhouse District and save on theatre at the Playhouse and dinner at Redwhite+bluezz restaurant (that’s 39 and 37 South El Molino Avenue, respectively).
What’s on at The Pasadena Playhouse this month? From Nov. 4 through 30, Stop Kiss, a critically-acclaimed production that originally featured Sandra Oh and Jessica Hecht, will be playing. Throughout the play, writer Diana Son plumbs the depths of human emotions, relationships, and compassion. Metro riders save 20 percent on tickets with a special online promo code. For more about Stop Kiss and specific show times, click here.
I don’t know about you, but plumbing the depths of human emotions usually makes me hungry. Good thing the Playhouse’s next door neighbor is Redwhite+bluezz restaurant. If you couldn’t guess from the name, this cutting-edge eatery’s M.O. is reinventing classic American dishes with a twist. Show your valid TAP card to your server and receive dessert on the house, with purchase of an entrée.
To Go Metro to the Pasadena Playhouse District, take the Metro Gold Line to Memorial Park or Lake Station. From either station, the walk to Colorado/El Molino is about 15 minutes. For more direct service, there’s a host of Metro, Foothill Transit and Pasadena ARTS buses that stop near the intersection. Use the Trip Planner or Google Maps to plan your best route.
