Swing by Peddler’s Creamery for some artisan ice cream that is churned by bicycle! Show your valid TAP card to receive one free single scoop with purchase of one single scoop. Saturday

Celebrate the 130th birthday of Little Tokyo! The Little Tokyo Historical Society will be discussing the historic and cultural heritage of Little Tokyo at the Central Library in downtown L.A. The event is free and starts at 1 p.m. (Metro Red/Purple Line to Pershing Square Station, then walk west along 5th Street).

Sunday

The Brig’s 1st Annual Crawfest takes place at 11 a.m. and features all the crawfish you can eat. Tickets are $45 at the door. This event is 21+ only. (Metro Rapid 733 to Venice/Abbott Kinney)

Check out the Melting Pot Tours in Old Pasadena! Tours begin at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays near the corner of Raymond Avenue and Holly Street; each tour lasts about 3.5 hours. Tickets cost $75 for adults and are available online. Save $5 with your valid TAP card! (Metro Gold Line to Memorial Park Station)

All Weekend

The 26th annual UCLA JazzReggae Fest takes place this Sunday and Monday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. both days. This year’s annual Memorial Day festival includes Snoop Dogg, Aloe Blacc and Ky-Mani Marley! General admission is $40 at the door. (Metro Bus 2, 20, 720 or 761 to UCLA)

Spice up your Memorial Day by attending The Salsa Session at Grand Park! The party starts at 2 p.m. and is free to all. Show your TAP card to be entered for a chance to win four passes to the Museum of Latin American Art! (Metro Red/Purple Line to Civic Center/Grand Park Station)

Get some sun and check out Fiesta Hermosa at the Hermosa Beach Pier. The festival takes place Saturday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m each day. There will be art, music, food, a free bike valet and even a petting zoo for kids. Best of all, admission is free! (Metro Bus 130 to Hermosa/11th)
