Be a part of International Jazz Day by checking out the flash jazz mob at Union Station this evening.
Commuters passing through Union Station West at 5:30 p.m. will be able to catch a brief performance of a popular jazz song by student and professional musicians.
The event is organized by the Jazz Education Network (JEN), Make Music Los Angeles, and Los Angeles Unified School District’s Beyond the Bell Branch. All three organizations share a common mission of increasing awareness of music performance and education. The flash mob will serve as a precursor to Make Music LA’s annual Day of Making Music on June 21, 2014, and the Jazz Education Network’s annual jazz conference on January 7-11, 2015 in San Diego, CA.
All participants must be registered.
