4:35 p.m.: Both tracks between Lake and Sierra Madre Villa stations have been restored for revenue service. From now until close of service this evening, trains will run every 10 minutes along the entire line–from Atlantic to Sierra Madre Villa–with ALL trains servicing Allen and Sierra Madre Villa stations.
At this time, it also looks as if Metro Gold Line will be able to run regularly scheduled service beginning Wednesday morning. Metro would like to thank all Gold Line customers for their patience and understanding throughout this ordeal.
A big rig truck crashed onto the Gold Line tracks at approximately 1 p.m. last Thursday, causing extensive damage to the overhead power supply system and the tracks east of Allen Station. Repairs have been underway since, and were just completed this evening.
