The “Noir Nights” film series, brought to you by Vintage LA, Grand Central Market, and Million Dollar Theatre, kicks off this Saturday with Touch of Evil. Celebrate L.A. and Southern California’s history at LA Heritage Day this Sunday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at El Pueblo de Los Angeles. The Annenberg Community Beach House is celebrating its 5th anniversary this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a full roster of activities, including yoga on the beach, dance and paddle board classes, pool time, picnicking and more. (Big Blue Bus 4 to 4th/Marguerita then walk west on Marguerita Avenue, or Metro Rapid 720 to Ocean/Wilshire then walk north on Ocean Avenue.)

Little Tokyo is also celebrating an anniversary this week–its 130th–with the Taste of Little Tokyo starting this Saturday. The L.A. Brewery is hosting its free bi-annual art walk from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day this weekend. Formerly a home to PBR, the Brewery is now one of the largest art colonies in the United States.   1. Getting to the Annenberg Community Beach House is slightly more difficult than it appears the map. The closest ways to cross the Pacific Coast Highway are an overpass that you can enter just west of Montana Ave, or a tunnel at W Channel Rd to the north.
