The press release from Metro is after the jump.
Walsh/Shea Corridor Constructor (WSCC) and the Los Angeles Urban League in conjunction with Metro will host the opening of the new Construction Careers Information Center at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, 3650 West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bridge section of the mall, near Macy’s and is open to the public.
Participants will include general contractors WSCC, Turner Construction and Balfour Beatty, PV JOBS and public entities including Metro, Los Angeles World Airports, Los Angeles Unified School District, California Employment Development Department, City of Los Angeles and Trade Unions.
Representatives of those agencies will provide information on employment opportunities in the construction industry, as well as on career and skill development services. The center will be a valuable resource for those pursuing careers in the construction industry.
Metro is building a $2.58 million Crenshaw/LAX light-rail line that will add 8.5-miles to the Metro Rail system. It will connect the Expo Line with the Green Line via the Crenshaw District and the City of Inglewood.
Thanks to Measure R, Metro will within a year have five rail projects under construction simultaneously in Los Angeles County. Crenshaw/LAX, Expo 2 and the Foothill Extension rail projects currently are under construction and soon the Regional Connector and the Purple Line Extension will be underway.

What the Crenshaw Line will be marketed as (color, number, letter, name, etc.) is really unimportant as compared to the fact that something is being built. It may carry multiple services in the future.
Thats what I would do.
I am opposed to the Crenshaw Line. How can they have a rail line without a color? 🙂
