Northbound I-405 freeway closures in West L.A. planned for three consecutive nights, Feb. 7, 8 and 9

Here’s the press release from Metro:

The northbound I-405 will be fully closed in various segments between Wilshire Boulevard and Getty Center Drive on the nights of Friday, February 7, Saturday, February 8 and Sunday, February 9, 2014 to facilitate realignment of lanes and to accommodate work at the freeway median for roadway widening.

Details of these night-time only closures are as follows:

Friday Night (Saturday morning): 1 a.m. to 6 a.m., Wilshire Boulevard to Moraga Drive

  • Lanes will begin to close at 10 p.m., and ramps will be closed as early as 7 p.m.
  • Detour: From the Northbound I-405, exit to westbound Wilshire Boulevard, turn right onto northbound Sepulveda Boulevard, turn left onto the northbound I-405 on-ramp at Moraga Drive 
  • The Northbound I-405 on-ramps at Santa Monica Boulevard and at westbound and eastbound Wilshire Boulevard will be closed to mitigate traffic entering the Northbound I-405 near the closure area.

Saturday Night (Sunday morning) 2 a.m. to 7 a.m., Wilshire Boulevard to Moraga Drive

  • Lanes will begin to close at 11 p.m., and ramps will be closed as early as 7 p.m.
  • Detour: From the Northbound I-405, exit to westbound Wilshire Boulevard, turn right onto northbound Sepulveda Boulevard, turn left onto the Northbound I-405 on-ramp at Moraga Drive. 
  • The Northbound I-405 on-ramps at Santa Monica Boulevard and at westbound and eastbound Wilshire Boulevard will be closed to mitigate traffic entering the NB I-405 near the closure area. 

Sunday Night (Monday morning): 12 a.m. to 5 a.m., Moraga Drive to Getty Center Drive:

  • Lanes will begin to close at 11 p.m., and ramps will be closed as early as 7 p.m.
  • Detour: From the Northbound I-405, exit at Moraga Drive, turn left onto northbound Sepulveda Boulevard, turn left onto the Northbound I-405 on-ramp at Getty Center Drive. 
  • The Northbound I-405 on-ramps at westbound and eastbound Wilshire Boulevard, and Sunset Boulevard will be closed to mitigate traffic entering the Northbound I-405 near the closure area.
