Restricted access to Patsaouras Transit Plaza Dec 21 – 22 due to asphalt repaving

Los Angeles Union Station’s Patsaouras Plaza will be closed for asphalt repaving starting 4 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21. The closure will continue until approximately 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22 or until barricades are removed.

  1. Wait. Does this mean the beautiful brickwork will be replaced with soulless asphalt? I’d prefer to see a redoubled effort to maintain and repair the existing brick surface. Instead Metro should focus on repairing the missing chunks of concrete and other tripping hazards in the Amtrak bus bay area.
