Don’t forget, go Metro to IndieCade this weekend to save on tickets.

And the Eagle Rock Music Festival takes place on Saturday.

Also on Saturday, get out and moon gaze at the South Pasadena Moon Festival. The free event takes place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at South Pasadena Library Park and features entertainment, games and contests involving food – participants will test their chopsticks-eating skills, noodle-eating capacity, and ability to eat traditional Chinese foods such as durian, chicken feet, and bitter melon. Mmmmm, bitter melon. Some activities may require paid tickets. (Metro Gold Line to South Pasadena Station)

Learn about food, history and culture with Urban Adventures and the Ethnic Neighborhoods Food and Culture tour. The next one takes place this Saturday and starts at 2 p.m. You’ll be able to taste select foods and drinks from all over the world. The tour starts at 3355 Wilshire Blvd. between the Purple Line Wilshire/Normandie Station and Red/Purple Line Wilshire/Vermont Station, and ends at Hollywood/Western Station. Cost is $71.50 for adults.

The Eagle Rock Yacht Club is hosting a Sadie Hawkins dance this Saturday at Union Station’s Fred Harvey Room. It’s a chance to dress up and party at one of the most beautiful places at the station! The dance starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $65. (Metro Red, Purple, Gold Line or Metrolink to Union Station, check Trip Planner for all bus connections)

If you looooove mole or Mexican food in general, make sure to go to Feria de los Moles, taking place this Sunday at Olvera Street. There will be 13 different mole flavors to try, ranging from sweet to savory. The festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. so you’ll have plenty of time to sample each dish. Entrance to the event is free, although you’ll have to pay for the food. (Olvera Street is located across Union Station, connect via Metro Red, Purple or Gold Line, Metrolink or via Metro Bus)

    • Of course! But I think CicLAvia has been getting quite a bit of its own press here. 🙂
