A motorist advisory from Caltrans:
WHAT: The southbound I-5 off-ramp to Quail Lake Road and the westbound SR-138 connector to southbound I-5 will close Friday, September 6, 2013, at 1 a.m. and reopen Monday, September 30, 2013, at 10 a.m.
TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Motorists will be unable to exit southbound I-5 at Quail Lake Road and to connect to southbound I-5 from westbound SR-138. Detours will be posted.
REASON FOR CLOSURES: Crews will be placing new concrete pavement as part of a project that is rehabilitating the lanes and outside shoulders I-5 in both directions from just south of the Vista Del Lago Road overcrossing to the Kern County Line, a distance of 15.4 miles.
