Due to a damaged track switch just west of Union Station, inbound trains on the Metro Red and Purple Line must proceed at restricted speeds and will be delayed coming into Union Station up to 5 minutes. This is expected to continue throughout the day.

For those who need to transfer to Metrolink this afternoon, it is strongly recommended that you catch an earlier train so as not to miss your Metrolink connection.

Repairs will begin at 9 p.m. this evening. Red Line trains will run every 20 minutes from 9 p.m. to close of service. Purple Line trains will run from Wilshire/Western to Wilshire/Vermont only. Those continuing to Union Station will need to transfer to the Red Line at Wilshire/Vermont.
