It’s disco night at the Music Center’s Dance Downtown this Friday, so grab some friends and get ready to boogie. The dance lasts from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and is free for all to attend. (Metro Red/Purple Line to Civic Center Station, Metro Bus 10 to Hope/Temple)

Nisei Week starts this weekend. Celebrate Tanabata and attend the family summer festival on Saturday. The day starts at 11 a.m. and continues into the evening. Festivities take place near MOCA and the Japanese American National Museum and it’s free to attend. (Metro Gold Line to Little Tokyo/Arts District Station)

Catch The Tubes and Radio Wave at Pershing Square on Saturday. The outdoor concert starts at 5 p.m. and is open to the public, bring your dancing shoes! (Metro Red/Purple Line to Pershing Square Station, Metro Bus 14 to 5th/Olive)

Want to see the awesome outfits from some of your favorite TV series? FIDM’s current exhibition features costumes from the most popular television series, films and mini-series of 2012. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. (Metro Bus 14, 81 to Grand/9th)
