Go Metro Weekends, July 26 – 27

Two Grand Performances are taking place this weekend. The Gypsy Allstars perform on Friday at noon, and Chico Trulillo and Las Cafeteras take the stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Both performances are free. Dine at the nearby Noe Restaurant and Bar before or after the performances and save 15% on your bill with your TAP card. Check out the Los Angeles that could have been at the A+D Architecture and Design Museum. The exhibition Never Built: Los Angeles features a collection of spectacular projects that only saw the drawing board. The museum is open from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Friday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m on Saturday and Sunday. General admission is $10. Show your TAP card at the front desk to receive $5 off tickets. Catch Monty Python and the Holy Grail at L.A. Historic State Park this Saturday with Street Food Cinema. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starts at sundown. Go Metro to save $3 on admission.  (Metro Gold Line to Chinatown Station)

Join dance storytellers Sheetal Gandhi and Shyamala Moorty at Ford Theatres on Saturday. The performance begins at 10 a.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, children 12 and under are free. Don’t miss the grand opening of the Downtown Flea this Sunday. The event will combine a food festival, block party and flea market all in one!
