Fashion lovers, make sure to check out the Planes, Trains & Automobiles: Travel & Fashion exhibition at FIDM. See vintage travel wear from the beginning of the 20th century through the 1960s. The exhibition is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Friday and is open to the public. (Metro Bus 14 to Grand/9th)

Reminder: C.I.C.L.E.’s Bike Path Beach Bash ride is this Saturday. The ride leaves from the La Cienega/Jefferson Expo Line Station at 11 a.m.

If you’re looking to ride a helicopter this weekend, head to the American Heroes Air Show on Saturday. Show your TAP card at the STAR Helicopters booth to receive 5% off a helicopter ride. The air show takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hansen Dam Sports Complex and is free to attend. (Metro Bus 233 to Terra Bella St./Foothill Blvd.)

Don’t miss the Leimert Park Book Fair this Saturday, taking place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be book signings, celebrity readings, writing workshops and more. The book fair is free to the public. (Metro Bus 102 to 43rd/Degnan)

Catch the new British rock musical ModRock at El Portal Theatre and immerse yourself in the London of the swinging ’60s. Valid TAP card holders can use the promo code ROCKER to receive $20 tickets for performances from now until July 12. There are shows Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. (Metro Red Line or Orange Line to North Hollywood Station, Metro Bus 183 to Lankershim/Chandler)

Have you already seen Monsters University? If not, go watch it at El Capitan Theatre! There are multiple showings scheduled for this weekend, the earliest at 10 a.m. Show your TAP card at the ticket window to receive a bonus stamp on your new Frequent Guest Card. The Pasadena Marathon takes place this Sunday. Check this previous post for info on bus detours. Whether you’re running or just there to cheer someone on, you can save $10 on running shoes with your TAP card at Run with Us. The race day festival takes place from 5:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Pasadena City College.
