Metro’s contractor reports that 405 paving work is currently ahead of schedule in the 2.5-mile lane reduction area of the northbound I-405 between Montana Avenue and Getty Center Offramps.

Barring any major issues or equipment problems, the contractor estimates that it can open the No. 3 lane by 9 p.m., helping to improve traffic flows through the area.

A full northbound freeway closure will NOT be required tonight.

If all goes according to plan, the work should be completed and all northbound lanes reopened to the public by early Sunday morning.
