Repair work to be done on subway tracks at Union Station tonight, trains to run at 20 minute headways

Necessary repair work will be done on the subway tracks at Union Station tonight starting at 9 p.m. The Metro Red Line will be running at 20 minute headways from 9 p.m. to close of service between Union Station and North Hollywood Station.

There will be no Purple Line train service from Union Station to Wilshire/Vermont after 9 p.m. Shuttle train service will be in place from Wilshire/Vermont to Wilshire/Western Station. Those taking the Purple Line can transfer to the shuttles from Wilshire/Vermont Station.

Regular service will resume at start of service Thursday morning.

  1. Or, there *will* be Purple Line service, but just from Wilshire/Vermont to Wilshire/Western and v.v.

(Or is Metro going to run buses on Wilshire?)

    • Hey Erik,

Word I got is “shuttle train” in lieu of Purple Line trains.
