Museums Free-for-All is back! 19 museums all over L.A. County will be opening their doors to the public free of charge this weekend. Here’s a list of participating museums, many of which are accessible by Metro.

- Craft and Folk Art Museum (Metro Bus 20 to Wilshire/Curson)
- Fowler Museum at UCLA (Metro Bus 2/302 to UCLA Ackerman Loop)
- Hammer Museum (Metro Rapid 761 to Westwood/Lindbrook)
- The Getty Center
- The Getty Villa
- Los Angeles County Museum of Art (Metro Rapid 720 Wilshire/Fairfax)
- The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) (Metro Red/Purple Line to Pershing Square Station, exit 4th St)
- Museum of Latin American Art (Long Beach Transit 71 or 72 to Alamitos/6th)
- Museum of Tolerance (Big Blue Bus 7 to Pico/Roxbury)
- Pacific Asia Museum (Gold Line to Memorial Park Station)
- The Paley Center for Media (Metro Bus 16 to S. Santa Monica/Canon)
- Pasadena Museum of California Art (Metro Bus 267 to Los Robles/Union)
- Santa Monica Museum of Art (Big Blue Bus 5 to Olympic/26th)
- Skirball Cultural Center (Metro Rapid 761 to Sepulveda/Skirball Center)
- University Art Museum, CSULB (Long Beach Transit 91 or 121 to Beach/Campus)
Make sure to check museum hours, some are open Saturday or Sunday only. Reservations and (free) timed tickets may be required for certain exhibits. The free-for-all does not apply to specially ticketed exhibitions Caravaggio and His Legacy and Stanley Kubrick.
January 26 will also mark the start of the L.A. International New Music Festival. Composers from all over the world will gather at The Colburn School’s Zipper Concert Hall to show their stuff. The pre-concert talk will start at 7 p.m. and the concert will begin at 8 p.m. General admission is $38. (Metro Bus 96 to Grand/2nd)
