From January to June, the Natural History Museum stays open late on the first Friday of the month for visitors to explore the museum in a totally new way. This Friday kicks off the 2013 season with a discussion of the Colorado Rockies during the Ice Age, and performances by Lord Huron, Wildcat! Wildcat! and aquarium drunkard.

Pre-sale tickets for the concert + museum have already sold out and only a limited number will be available at the door, but tickets for museum admission only – which gets you the tour, the discussion, access to the galleries and DJ – are still available. Go Metro to the NHM and receive a $1.25 discount off adult museum-only admission. Just present your valid TAP card or LA County employee ID at the box office.

The NHM is located off the Metro Expo Line from Expo Park/Vermont Station or Expo Park/USC Station. Check Trip Planner for more connections.
