Preview of November Service Council meetings

A wide range of topics will be discussed at the November Metro Service Council meetings this month, which are detailed below. For a complete listing of dates, times and locations for all five Service Council meetings, click here. All of the meetings include a report from Metro Service Council Director Jon Hillmer detailing monthly statistics on ridership, performance and other measures of Metro service. 1. By looking at the meeting agendas, there are “Corridor Studies” but I do not see any service changes mentioned. Are we not having any semiannual service changes for December 2012?

Thank you for your comment and interest in the upcoming Metro service changes. The semi-annual changes you referred to typically occur every June and December, with public hearings held before those dates (if needed) to receive public input on proposed changes. There are no major service changes scheduled for December this year. There are some minor route adjustments to Lines 217, 534, and 612, and service improvements to Lines 40 and Silver Line. Minor service changes may occur to other lines to improve on-time performance. Information regarding the mentioned changes will be posted on Metro.net and buses beginning December 3, and implemented on December 16.
