At approximately 7:57 a.m. this morning a bus on Metro Line 780 was traveling westbound on Hollywood Boulevard at Courtney Avenue when it was involved in a collision with a dump truck. The truck may have been unoccupied and rolled into the intersection, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The bus was forced from its lane and collided head-on with a BMW carrying a woman driver and a child.
As many as 30 of the bus passengers and the bus operator were transported to local hospitals with what appeared to be mostly minor injuries accordinf to the LAFD; the number of transports is not confirmed at this time. The driver of the BMW was extricated by the LAFD from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital with leg injuries and the LAFD listed her condition as ‘fair.’ The girl in the BMW suffered minor injuries.

I was a passenger on the Metro bus. I was at the middle part of the bus, window side asleep and got thrown on the isle. It was terrifying everybody was screaming and trying to get out as soon as the bus stopped. I feel sorry for the lady on the car.
