LOS ANGELES (Sat., Sept. 29, 2012, 9:30 p.m.) – The Interstate 405 Freeway (I-405) Unified
Command announced the following update information:
Herbalife Triathlon Los Angeles Reminder:
The Herbalife Triathlon Los Angeles will be held tomorrow morning. Participants and spectators should stay out of the Sepulveda Pass closure area.
Commuters are reminded that Venice Blvd. will be closed from the Venice Beach shoreline to Fairfax Ave. with no crossing permitted even at intersections. Olympic Blvd. is also closed from Fairfax Ave. to LA Live. Access to these areas are extremely limited.
City of Los Angeles Traffic Officers will be deployed along with Los Angeles Police Department to control traffic and crowds.

Construction Update:
The Mulholland Bridge demolition is on schedule. The West and Center spans are both
complete. The demolition of the East span is 75% complete. The demolition of the columns has
just begun and will be a long process that will continue through the night.
The I-405 Freeway South Getty On Ramp will close tonight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for restriping.
The progress is moving forward as planned and the public has remained vigilant about staying outside of the construction area allowing crews to complete the necessary work.
