New and improved Sunset Boulevard Bridge over 405 fully reopens Monday morning!

After two-plus years of work, reconstruction of the Sunset Boulevard bridge over the 405 freeway has been completed and all traffic lanes will reopen on Monday morning.

The new bridge is 30 feet wider with two new lanes and improved on- and off-ramps. The work is part of the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project that is adding a northbound HOV lane to the 405 freeway over the pass.

We'll have photos and the official news release from Metro in the morning. Here's a story that ran in the L.A. Times today.
