Hello Source readers, its been a while since I’ve updated you on metro.net happenings and new stuff — well, here they are, enjoy!
Interactive Maps & Infographics!
A few new interactive maps and infographics have been added to Metro’s website, the maps use Google Maps API and are usable on desktop, touchpads and mobile devices.
The Go Metro Interactive Map (an update, not new) has been updated with the new Expo and Orange Line, new stations, revised bus connections and more customer amenities such as parking, bike lockers, and bike racks. The map also links each station to Google Maps and YELP for destinations and recommendations near each station.
The Metro Orange Line Extension Service Interactive Map is a new map breaking down the various services of the newly opened Orange Line. Selecting a station will display detailed customer amenities information.
Check out this fun and useful interactive on Bike Safety. Bike safety tips are revealed by clicking on a specific biker / cyclists on a busy street. I think this one is great for kids or any patron looking to use their bike on Metro. As always, review our Bike Rules before bringing your bike onto Metro.
Audio of Past Metro Board Meetings
Can’t make a particular Metro Board of Directors meeting but are interested in hearing what occurred? Metro’s Research & Records Department, in conjunction with Communications web staff, have made Board meeting recordings available online so that those with an internet connection can now listen to meeting audio recordings in the convenience of their homes, offices or via smart phone. To begin listening to audio, point your browser to our Archived Agendas page and plug-in your headphones. Files are in MP3 format.
