This sounds like an excellent idea!! All of these alternatives would be a massive improvement. A sky train, like they have at JFK airport in New York would work great here. An automatic system that does a continuous loop. Perhaps this could provide an alternative drop off/pick up spot for passengers, to relieve traffic congestion at LAX. A bus sounds like a poor choice, due to the number of shuttle vans and buses that already run there. Plus, buses have to contend with the same traffic as cars, so what would be the point??
