Ride the Gold Line to Little Tokyo to experience the Cherry Blossom Festival this Saturday and Sunday.
The weekend is here, it’s time to leave the driving to Metro and explore L.A. without a car.
Foodies might be interested in checking out the Precious Italian Fest of San Gennaro (Red Line Hollywood/Highland), the NoHo Taco Cook-Off (Red Line North Hollywood) and the Los Angeles Luxury Chocolate Salon (Gold Line Memorial Park).
Into cultural events? Go Metro to the Welsh Festival of Arts (Red Line Vermont/Sunset), the Los Angeles Korean Festival (Purple Line Wilshire/Normandie) and the Cherry Blossom Festival (Gold Line Little Tokyo/Arts District).
Music events this weekend include: a Free Pasadena Symphony Performance (Gold Line Memorial Park), Ladytron at The Wiltern (Purple Line Wilshire/Western) and the TV on the Radio at The Hollywood Bowl (Red Line Hollywood/Highland plus shuttle).

Hi Poppy, can you tell me what browser you are using to view the Go Metro post? I changed it to Google Calendar because it’s much easier to organize and post events this way, the previous method was a very tedious process and prone to mistakes. But, of course, it’s useless if it’s not readable.
By chance are you browsing on the iPhone? Unfortunately embedded calendars don’t scale on the iPhone browser and your best bet would be to click the calendar link. I’ll look into fixing this.

the person/anyone doing week-end events calendar: ACTUALLY tried using it? It can’t be scrolled –in any direction; pop-ups: right side cut off –can’t see mid-way to bottom; links in some events missing = it’s a mess. Really: why did you cram into Google’s calendar?
You “fixed” the NOT broken the way it was –each event stacked sequentially, WITH links, each metro line listed
Get the motor running-
Kind of an odd time for a cherry blossom festival, but you have to remember that the Tohoku earthquake pushed the event back.
I hope they get good attendance. I’ll be downtown today, but I’ll have an Amtrak bus to catch…
