This is Grand Central Station in Manhattan after being shut down and secured on Saturday in preparation for Hurricane Irene, later downgraded to a tropical storm. As of this morning, the New York subway system is mostly back up and running although many of the commuter rail lines that feed into New York — including Metro North — are still shut down.
