  1. You need to instruct your employees (Metro) to communicate accurately with patrons. I recently used the Red and the Blue lines during a weekend. I barely caught the Red line at NoHo, so I was unable to read any signs about Blue line work, if they even existed. There were NO signs or announcements on the Red line train regarding the need to catch a shuttle bus on the Blue line because of Expo line work. When I got to MetroCenter, the Blue line platforms were barricaded and there was no signage about where to go or what to do. There were some employees saying, “Board line 801 on 7th street”. Until I asked, they said nothing that connected Line 801 with the Blue line. You need to instruct these people and give them a script to follow, that allows the most inexperienced passenger to understand the instructions, without having to think about it. And, would it be so difficult for your overpaid dispatchers to make announcements over the station PA systems about things like this, or add to the taped warnings on the trains about these things? The Expo line construction has been, and will be, going on for quite a while. This is really a no-brainer, even for you, MTA. :-((
