Blue Line delays this afternoon

Due to a fatal accident involving a pedestrian at the Del Amo station in Long Beach shortly before 3 p.m., Blue Line service will be delayed this afternoon with trains currently single-tracking around the accident.

  1. I really hope no one takes this the wrong way but the Del Amo station is one of the few Blue Line stations that is grade separated. This unfortunate incident is a reminder that grade separation or not accidents can and will most likely continue to happen at anyone of our rail stations and that we all should act responsibly while waiting for a train or bus.

  2. How long is the delay? This is of little importantance when you stop and think a life was lost. Who died and how did it happen?

  3. How long is the delay? I am on the Green Line heading to the Blue Line now & I haven’t heard any announcements on the train.
